For systems with larger capacities, terminal filters must be installed on auxiliary lines to facilitate the installation of recirculation filters.

What are the precautions for using an activated carbon filter?

The typical installation locations for oil filters in hydraulic systems are as follows:

It shall be installed at the pump’s oil suction port. The pump’s suction line is typically equipped with a surface-type oil filter to protect the hydraulic pump by removing larger contaminant particles. In addition, the filter’s filtration capacity must be at least twice the pump’s flow rate, and its pressure drop must be less than 0.02 MPa.

Installed on the oil line at the pump outlet:

The purpose of installing an oil filter here is to remove contaminants that could enter components such as valves. A relief valve must also be installed to prevent blockage of the oil filter.

4. Filter material:

The material of the filter is typically the same as that of the connected process piping; depending on the service conditions, filters may be made from cast iron, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, or stainless steel.
